The Curious Coin
Ashu is a Ten Shilling Kenyan coin who gives never-ending and spell-binding stories about his experiences in this East Corner of BEAUTIFUL AFRICA. Ashu tells of his laughs and tears in a fast paced narration of events as he is thrown in and out of the lives of friends and strangers by the forces of everyday commerce.
The coin’s numerous adventures uncover real and ordinary joys and sorrows, as well as challenges and triumphs of Kenyans, in their daily endeavors.
Ashu is judgemental, opinionated and mouthy, but he is also candid, decent and warm. He is as quick to anger as he is quick to laughter. He has a very low opinion on some of those he meets, but thankfully, he holds most in high esteem, It all depends on who rubbed him the wrong way, who flipped him or who unsoiled him.
He is interesting, witty and sassy. He is a better eavesdropper than a good listener, a chatty coin and a great storyteller.
So sit back, click on a tab and let Ashu tell you a story.
