Ashu is a Ten Shilling Kenyan coin who gives never-ending and spell-binding stories about its experiences in this East Corner of Beautiful Africa. Ashu tells of his laughs and tears in a fast paced narration of events as he is thrown in and out of the lives of friends and strangers by the forces of everyday commerce. The coin’s numerous adventures bring out the real and ordinary joys and sorrows, as well as challenges and triumphs of Kenyans, in their daily endeavors.
